Scoping App Issues for iOS

The following article will teach you about what to do when getting an error about the app encountering an Unexpected Error on an Apple Device

Many iOS users have reported getting an error on their scoping app that looks something like this.

To fix this error we will need to reinstall the application on your device , but you must first back your data up or everything will be lost!

To back up the inspections photos from previous claims please navigate to your "Files" app on your device. This can be found by going to your home screen on your mobile device and swiping down. This will show a search field and you can search for the app.

From the section "On My iPhone" in your files, select the circle with 3 dots on the top right corner of your screen, and choose the second option "New Folder", and title it "Photo Transfer".

Navigate into your "HubOnSite" folder and select the 3 dots on the top right corner. Then select the first option "Select". Select all of the claims that are not uploading and from the bottom right corner, select the 3 dots and "Copy".

Return to your new folder called "Photo Transfer" and hold down on a blank part of the screen and select "Paste". This will create a copy of all of your photos from the claims saved to your device. You can then delete HubOnSite from your device.

If you do not copy all of the claims that are not finished syncing, you will lose them when deleting the app. So double check that you got everything you will need.

To download the app again navigate to your app store on your device. On the top right corner, you will see your profile. Select that and select the option "Apps". Then select the option on the right, "Not on this iPhone" and search for the "Scoping App". Once it is reinstalled you will need to sign in again.

To attach the images saved in your folder called "Photo Transfer" you will have to use the 3 dots again and select all photos (from each claim separately). Then select the share Icon in the bottom right corner and select "Save Image". This will save them to your camera roll, and you can re-upload them from there. It is best to download from the folder and re-upload to the claim one at a time. If you download, upload, and delete from you camera roll, this will make uploading a finding the correct photos for each claim much easier.
