Photo Sync - SharePoint

This article demonstrated how to upload photos from HubOnsite that are saved locally to your device.

We understand that field adjusters are having difficulties syncing their photos to Hubvia while using HubOnsite. This article will provide step-by-step instructions on where to find the photos that were taken during an inspection, how to save the photos from the camera roll to a file saved locally on a device, and how to upload these photos to a SharePoint site.

Where to find your photos:

When HubOnsite was installed on your device, a folder was created and named "HubOnsite." You can find this folder by searching for the "Files" application on both iOS and Android devices. You will find the HubOnsite folder there which contains the data from your inspections including the photos that were taken.

Saving Photos to a File from Camera Roll:

Some adjusters have been asked to take photos using their camera rather than using HubOnsite due to the photo syncing issues we have been facing. While HubOnsite provides the correct formatting for the pictures to be uploaded, the camera roll on your phone does not. In order to correctly format the photos from your camera roll, you will need to save these photos to a folder in your "Files" application. It is best to organize your photos by naming the folder with the claim number and the insured's last name for maximum accuracy.

To create a folder, select the "Browse" tab at the bottom of the screen in your Files app on iOS devices. Then, select the three dots at the top right of the screen, select "New Folder", and then name the new folder using the claim number and last name of the insured. This will be the folder that you will upload your photos to (depending on the claim.)

Uploading Saved Photos to SharePoint:

Extracting Photos from SharePoint - Uploading to Hubvia:

After receiving access to the SharePoint site, you can download your photo bundle from SharePoint in the format of a ZIP file. Navigate to the "Documents" section in SharePoint and find the folder you have created/uploaded. Select the three dots next to your folder and select download.

Select "Download" and the folder will be downloaded as a ZIP file. You can find your downloaded file at the top right of your browser (Microsoft Edge) by selecting the three dots and then selecting "Downloads":

(EDGE)

(CHROME)

Once downloaded, find the ZIP file you've just downloaded in the files on your laptop. Right click on the file and select "Extract All..." to unzip the file. Select the location in your files you would like to move the photos to.

Next, you will need to access Hubvia and find the claim you would like to manually upload your photos to. Once in the claim, scroll to the bottom of the screen and find the "Photo Gallery" tab.

Select this tab, and then select add photo. Make sure to have the file with your photos open and ready to transfer to Hubvia. Click and hold on a photo and drag it to the insert box in Hubvia.

Once all of your pictures are added, select "Add to Gallery." After the upload is complete, all of the photos can be found in the "Photo Gallery" tab. You can edit their properties by double clicking the images.
